A couple of weeks ago we had our first Salsa Night at Pringle Creek
Community. After clearing out the center section of Painters Hall our
wonderful grounds keeper/professional dancer/DJ/all around renaissance
man, Paco, taught the group of 15 or so neighbors and friends of Pringle
Creek some basic Salsa steps. Starting with the basic front-to-back and
side-to-side steps we gradually got into to the rhythm of the dance and
we began to move around the floor looking like we had a pretty decent
idea of what Salsa dancing is.

The
wonderful thing about the events that we have held at Pringle Creek is
that even though we generally have a group of people who start of the
evening not knowing one another, the group dynamic has always been
overwhelmingly supportive and engaged, an excellent space to step (or,
perhaps, Salsa?) out of your comfort zone and try something a little
different. While we may not be ready to go on tour just yet, the evening
was full of fun, laughter, and I would say some pretty decent
entertainment for our one or two spectators.
